In the 1990s, they were in common use in Europe. Yet they never became the standard in competition. Instead, the Size C bearing, first adopted in 2001, went on to become the norm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe reason lies in the particular quirks of the Size D bearing.
