International Shipping Policy
International Shipping Policy
At mowl®, we ship internationally under the CIP (Carriage and Insurance Paid to) term.
Shipping Terms
- Shipping costs and insurance are covered by us (the sender).
- Import duties, customs fees, and taxes are the responsibility of the customer (the recipient).
Please note that customs duties and tax rates vary by country and product classification, especially for shipments to the United States and Europe. You may receive an additional invoice from your local courier for customs or import fees upon delivery.
We are often asked about the declared value on the invoice. As a registered corporation, we are required to declare the actual sales price of all items for tax compliance. We cannot under-declare values or mark items as “gifts.”
Notice for U.S. Customers
As of August 27, 2025, Japan Post has temporarily suspended EMS (Express Mail Service) shipments to the United States for items classified as “gifts exceeding USD 100” or “goods for sale.”
As a result, all shipments previously handled by EMS will now be sent via DHL Express. However, customers residing in DHL Remote Area zones will be subject to an additional USD 40 remote area delivery fee.
This additional payment will be processed separately via PayPal after your order confirmation.
Shipping Fee Update
Due to recent DHL rate increases, we have adjusted our international shipping fees as follows:
- Orders under USD 50: Shipping fee increased from USD 20 → USD 35
- Orders over USD 50: No change in shipping fee
- Orders over USD 200: Free shipping (excluding DHL Remote Area locations)
Customers located in Remote Area regions will still be required to pay the USD 40 remote area fee, even for orders qualifying for free shipping.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding these changes.
