＜Development Background＞
As development of the previously introduced M Wide progressed,
the idea was proposed to create a metal-rim model
with competition-ready performance on par with M Wide.
When it comes to metal-rim models in the flagship series, M-PCS is the name that stands out.
However, the original M-PCS used an inner-rim structure
that made stable production difficult and brought manufacturing challenges.
In addition, because it was originally developed as a metal-rim version of M (2nd),
the team aligned on updating the original M-PCS for modern play
as the metal-rim counterpart to M Wide, the future entry model for competition.
That decision led to the creation of M-PCS Wide, released here.
＜Design＞
-From Inner Rim to Outer Rim-
To improve stability,
M-PCS Wide moves from an inner-rim structure to an outer-rim one.
The catch zone shape is nearly identical to that of M Wide,
while the wider body has been tuned to place more weight toward the polycarbonate body side.
Combined with stainless steel rims,
this results in a more powerful overall play feel.
-Spacerless Structure-
While retaining a face-side hub design that still reflects the character of M-PCS,
the center core part has been made larger than in previous mowl products
to achieve a spacerless structure and increase rigidity,
with the goal of creating a stronger sense of overall unity.
＜Play Feel＞
With performance fully capable of competition use,
this is an all-round metal-rim Yo-Yo
built to perform across a wide range of situations.
While it carries the dense, powerful feel that comes from stainless steel,
the crisp play feel of polycarbonate improves maneuverability,
and the stainless steel outer rim, spread broadly along the shape,
adds overall stability rather than concentrating weight in a single point.
The finely carved lines between the stainless steel and polycarbonate body establish a unique play feel.
It performs exceptionally well for horizontal and hop-style tricks.
