“Plastic M” is a special collaboration that reimagines the mowl® flagship model M through the design philosophy of Luftverk owner Jeffrey Pang.

Built with outstanding stability, it performs exceptionally well in dynamic hop-based tricks and intricate influent-style elements, making it highly versatile for both beginners and advanced players.

The Owl Logo—an icon passed down through generations of the “M” series—returns with the same classic design, now complemented by new artwork surrounding its outer ring for this Plastic M release.

<Development Story>

The connection between Luftverk owner Jeffrey Pang and mowl® founder Okuyama began in 2016 at the European Yo-Yo Championship (EYYC) in the Czech Republic.

Over the years, as the two met again at international contests once or twice annually, they gradually built a relationship grounded in a shared passion for craftsmanship.

A turning point came in October 2022, when Jeffrey visited Japan privately and stopped by Osaka.

In his hands was the “Plastic Fulvia,” a model from Luftverk produced through a unique process: injection-molded plastic further refined by CNC machining. Its precision and finish left a deep impression on Eiji Okuyama.

In June 2023, Jeffrey moved to Osaka for a year, spending more time with Okuyama.
During this period, the idea emerged:

“What if we rebuilt mowl’s flagship model M using the same structure as Plastic Fulvia?”

This conversation sparked the beginning of a full-scale collaboration.

<Performance of the Plastic M>

“Plastic M” is based on the mowl® flagship model M, elevated through the design philosophy of Jeffrey Pang.

-Exceptional Stability-
Unlike typical plastic yo-yos that rely solely on injection molding, the Plastic M uses polycarbonate with embedded metal nuts, then undergoes CNC machining for high-precision shaping.
This manufacturing approach delivers stability and accuracy far beyond conventional plastic models.

- Inherited Feel & Shape-

The model faithfully carries the signature H-profile of the flagship M, preserving the soft and familiar feel that players have loved for years.

-Enhanced Handling & Trick Versatility-

Compared to the 6061 M, both the diameter and width have been increased, creating a wider, more contemporary silhouette.

It offers powerful torque on the throw, sharp responsiveness during play, and high suitability for dynamic hop tricks and influent-style elements—making it a reliable choice for players of all levels.

 <About Luftverk Owner — Jeffrey Pang>

Jeffrey Pang’s brand Luftverk is defined by a relentless pursuit of precision manufacturing.
Since the mid-2010s, he has continually challenged the limits of yo-yo production, especially through pioneering work in the once-uncommon material titanium.

Since then, Luftverk has released a lineup of high-quality models that merge engineering and artistry, including notable collaborations with CLYW—capturing the attention of players and collectors around the world.

Even today, Jeffrey continues to innovate by machining injection-molded polycarbonate bodies on high-precision lathes, pushing the boundaries of manufacturing techniques in the yo-yo scene.
