＜Development＞

mowl®'s flagship model, “M,”

was created around the concept of

“a yo-yo that still feels good to play five years later,”

and has continued to evolve through repeated updates and refinements.

Born from that same lineage, “M Light”

is not simply a lighter version of M.

While clearly belonging to the flagship family,

it carries a more approachable character—almost like the youngest member of the series—

with the practicality of a lightweight model designed to be used every day.

The goal behind the design of “M Light”

was to combine “lightness” with a planted, persistent sense of control.

Although the initial presence of the throw feels light and effortless,

the model is designed to feel more substantial in motion than its actual weight of approximately 57 g would suggest.

Even compared with conventional yo-yos weighing around 60 g,

there is very little compromise in the overall play feel.

Its ability to be used casually while still delivering genuine practicality

is one of the defining characteristics of “M Light.”

It is also designed to reduce physical fatigue during extended sessions,

placing less strain on the fingers and joints

without sacrificing a calm, controlled feel in play.

That makes it easy to pick up casually even after a long practice session,

and an ideal model to carry with you every day.

Lightweight models can sometimes be harder to stop precisely once they begin moving,

and tricks can appear slightly rough or less controlled as a result.

To calm down this behavior commonly associated with lightweight yo-yos,

M Light was designed with a slightly stronger sense of “pull” during movement.

This allows it to retain its lightness

while making tricks appear cleaner and more controlled.

It moves effortlessly, but rarely looks careless.

That balance is another defining part of the character of “M Light.”

＜Play Feel＞

The fundamental feel of “M” remains at its core,

delivering a light, soft, and comfortable sensation in play.

At the same time, despite being an exceptionally lightweight model,

there is still a clear sense of torque from the initial throw,

along with enough practical power to return with confidence on the catch.

＜Artwork＞

Within the flagship M Series, which has continued to evolve through constant updates and refinement,

the main logo for the lighter, more playful M Light

moves away from the sharpness and tension traditionally seen in the series.

Instead, the owl wears a slightly relaxed expression—

as though it has finally let go after using every last bit of its strength.

There is something intentionally loose and unguarded about its appearance.

Even the central circle that symbolizes the M Series

is not drawn as the perfectly controlled circle seen in the standard logo.

Instead, it has been intentionally given a slightly distorted, relaxed form.

By introducing this sense of looseness into even the smallest details,

the artwork expresses the lighthearted and approachable character of “M Light.”
